MILLICOM INTERNATIONAL CELLULAR, PARAGUAY & COLOMBIA 2013 TO SEPT 2021
Began with company in 2013 in Paraguay and lead technology and company transformation marked by unprecedented successes in contributing to TIGO Paraguay’s #1 ranking in the telecommunications market.
VICE PRESIDENT OF OPERATIONS (CTIO) – TIGO COLOMBIA (2017-Sept 2021)
· Reflective of proven record of success with TIGO Paraguay, was requested by executive leadership to take over Technology area in Colombia. Company was in a painful situation with a highly de-motivated team and with technical incidents impacting severely both, fixed and mobile business
· Oversee Capex and Opex budget of $600M, with seven direct reports and 600 employees in technical area, supporting 5000 company employees and a customer based of 10M mobile customers and 1,5M fixed customers, with 4-play services. Develop and implement organizational structures to optimize returns and train/mentor key personnel to achieve business objectives.
· Directly involved in decision-making processes at the executive level and generate timely reports for review by executive leadership as well as liaise with Millicom’s corporate team located in Coral Gables, FL.
